Note: Developers have access to chat content, media, and voice notes stored in Firebase. We do not actively monitor private communications but may access content if required to maintain security, resolve technical issues, comply with law, or respond to abuse reports.

3. How We Store & Protect Your Data

We use Google Firebase for authentication, database storage, and file storage.

Passwords are encrypted and handled by Firebase; UniSplitr does not store raw passwords.

User data is encrypted in transit and at rest.

Access to data is restricted to authorised personnel only.

While we take appropriate measures to safeguard your data, no online service is completely secure. You use UniSplitr at your own risk.

4. Sharing of Information

We do not sell or rent your personal data. We may share information in the following cases:

With Service Providers: e.g., Google Firebase for authentication and storage.

Account data (UID, email, house associations) is retained while your account remains active.

Chat logs, events, and house data are retained unless deleted by users or the house is disbanded.
