We’re Max and Cormac — two friends who teamed up to build an app that makes uni life easier. It all started when Max, who’s currently at university, was facing the typical struggles most students go through on a night out: he had paid for the Uber for four people, and while everyone agreed to pay him back, chasing them down and keeping people accountable quickly became a hassle. After a lot of late-night chats (and a fair bit of trial and error), we realized there had to be a better way to support students through the ups and downs of uni life. As we started looking for solutions, we were surprised to find there was nothing out there that really solved these day-to-day student problems in a simple, student-first way. That’s when UniSplitr came to life. UniSplitr is an app designed for flatmates and housemates to keep uni living organised and stress-free. It lets you track bills, manage chores, and even split costs like Ubers — all while holding everyone accountable. The built-in house chat keeps communication clear, and the shared calendar makes sure everyone’s on the same page about what’s happening and when. With Cormac bringing the outside perspective and an entrepreneurial approach, and Max offering firsthand insight into student life as well as being a bit of a tech connoisseur, we built UniSplitr to solve real problems we’ve either lived through or watched others face. Our goal is simple: make uni more manageable, more balanced, and a little less financially stressful for students everywhere. We’re just two guys who wanted to turn a frustrating experience into something useful — and we’re excited to have you along for the journey.
